We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated individual to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering sustainable waste solutions to our customers.
The RoleThe primary focus of this role is to assess, advise, and implement effective waste recycling systems for both new and existing customers. You will ensure clients remain compliant with legislation while achieving agreed environmental performance targets.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
Legislation & Internal Knowledge
- Maintain a working knowledge of current and pending waste legislation
- Develop a full understanding of Pulse Environmental’s services and recycling equipment
Existing Customers
You will manage the environmental performance of key accounts by:
- Conducting site surveys and waste audits
- Attending landlord and tenant meetings as required
- Delivering Waste Awareness and Sustainability Workshops for staff
- Sending monthly performance reports with recommendations for improvement
- Reviewing recycling schemes in line with legislative updates and new services
- Producing consolidated environmental performance reports for multi-site contracts
New Customers
- Carrying out site visits and waste audits to benchmark current services
- Providing quotes and recommendations for improved recycling solutions
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries with practical waste solutions
- Promoting Pulse’s range of recycling bins and services
- Following up proposals and quotations
- Planning mobilisation of new contracts and conducting formal 3-month reviews
Sustainability Development
- Identifying hard-to-recycle waste streams and developing recycling solutions
- Exploring circular economy services to offer to customers
- Developing and delivering sustainability education sessions for local schools
- Partnering with environmental initiatives and promoting corporate volunteering
- Supporting customers with Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting
Social Media & Marketing Support
- Supporting the growth of Pulse’s social media presence
- Promoting sustainability best practice through digital channels
- Assisting in the creation of marketing materials
- Previous experience in the waste industry (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience in key account management
- Confident and enthusiastic communicator, able to engage at all levels
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Organised, proactive, and self-motivated
- Knowledge of creative software for marketing materials (desirable)
