Hardware Electronics Test Engineer
Location: London/Brentwood
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Contract Duration: 6 months
We are seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer with strong hands‑on testing experience to support hardware validation and compliance activities. The successful candidate will work within a structured test environment, producing high-quality reports and ensuring products meet required EMC, Radio, and Safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electronics background and an eagerness to learn within a compliance‑focused testing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct hardware testing and validation activities
- Produce detailed test reports and documentation
- Operate electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analysers)
- Support compliance testing (EMC, Radio, Safety standards)
- Optimise test tools and Scripting processes
- Analyse, organise, and present test data clearly
- Attend and support activities at external test houses
- Apply structured test and validation methodologies
- Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn
- Background in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline)
- Hands‑on experience using electronics test equipment
- Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety)
- Experience using test scripts and validation methodologies
Note: Candidates must be able to access external test houses (no medical restrictions such as pacemakers that would prevent entry).
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)- Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases
- Ability to summarise complex technical information for different audiences
- Experience managing a test workstack or workflow
- Basic Python Scripting experience
- Prior hands‑on hardware testing experience
- Exposure to compliance testing environments
- Structured, organised, and deadline-driven
- Strong communication skills
