Energy and Utilities Consultant
Responsibilities
- Manage the process of obtaining utility connections and diversions (electricity, gas, water, drainage, telecoms)
- Liaise with DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs and other providers to unlock grid access and coordinate connection strategies
- Guide clients through procurement, reinforcement works, and feasibility studies
- Contribute to business development and help build a new client base across the UK
- Deliver high-quality consultancy outputs and manage key project deliverables
- Proactively explore opportunities in the evolving energy and infrastructure space
Requirements
- Strong background in utility connections and planning for UK construction projects
- Experience in at least one utility (electricity, gas, water, drainage, or telecoms).
- Understanding of the technical and commercial implications of utility infrastructure in the built environment
- Confident liaising with developers, engineering teams, DNOs, and regulators
