Overview

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Join a team that’s redefining how the world builds. Our Construction & Logistics Advisory group within the Transportation business unit brings together industry‑leading expertise from across global markets, supporting flagship programmes throughout the UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific. With a powerhouse team made up of chartered professionals and former Tier One contractors, we’re uniquely positioned to shape strategy, unlock Modern Methods of Construction, and influence the very foundations of project delivery at the earliest possible stage.

As a Construction Advisory Professional, you’ll be at the heart of this impact — guiding major projects from concept through design and optioneering, shaping construction strategy, phasing, methodology, and programme development. You’ll collaborate with specialists to create smarter, more efficient, and more resilient designs, integrating logistics, sustainability, and constructability into every decision. This is your opportunity to influence high‑profile projects, challenge traditional thinking, and help drive a “Design to Construct” mindset that transforms how infrastructure is delivered.

Key

deliverables
  • Deliver technical input and constructability advice on areas such as, but not limited to, temporary works, lifting and plant solutions, earthworks, traffic management, logistics, and CDM obligations.
  • Lead constructability reviews and risk assessments.
  • Advise on health, safety, and environmental risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Engineering degree or suitable relevant experience
  • Proven track record of on-site delivery across multi-sector construction and engineering projects
  • Experience in delivery of a broad range of civil engineering projects or a specialist in a particular sector
  • Experience in capital project delivery
  • Working collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve the projects aims.
  • Health, safety, and environmental expertise.
