CAD Project Lead

We are looking for a CAD Project Lead to strengthen CAD quality, drive process improvements, and support high quality delivery across UK and India teams. This is a newly created role, offering an opportunity to influence workflows, maintain technical excellence, and contribute to our reputation as a market leader.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring CAD deliverables meet Plowman Craven’s high standards. You’ll:

• Review and QA AutoCAD survey drawings (plans, sections, elevations, topographical and associated data)
• Support Project Managers and delivery teams with technical CAD guidance
• Collaborate with the growing India CAD team to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD workflows, standards, and training

• Perform quality assurance and review of CAD outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Plan, coordinate, and allocate CAD workloads across project teams
• Provide technical support for AutoCAD workflows, point cloud data, and survey outputs
• Liaise with outsourcing partners to maintain quality and delivery schedules
• Maintain and promote CAD standards, processes, and training across the business
• Attend client and internal meetings representing the CAD function
• Support productivity and efficiency initiatives within CAD operations

• Expert in 2D & 3D AutoCAD
• Experience authoring Measured Building and Topographic Survey drawings
• Strong point cloud skills (Cloud Worx and/or ReCap)
• Proficient in Excel/spreadsheets
• Surveying background (land, measured building, or geospatial)

• Commercial awareness regarding time and project delivery
• Excellent stakeholder engagement (internal teams, clients)
• Confidence to manage client expectations
• Proactive approach to improving CAD workflows

• Collaborate with UK and international delivery teams
