My client, a respected fire systems specialist based in Southwest London, is looking for a Junior Fire Alarm Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with engineering knowledge, fire alarm experience, or a background in electrical/low‑voltage systems who wants to move into estimating, design support, and project costing.

• Supporting senior estimators with the preparation of quotes and tenders
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information
• Assisting with take‑offs, cost calculations, and bill of materials
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
• Helping to prepare proposals and client documentation
• Learning fire alarm standards, system design principles, and estimating processes
• Working closely with the projects and engineering teams

• Some experience or exposure to fire alarms, electrical systems, or low‑voltage engineering
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and willingness to learn
• Ability to read technical drawings (advantageous but not essential)
• A proactive, detail‑driven approach
• Interest in progressing into a full Estimator or Design Engineer role

• Full training and development plan
• Support towards industry qualifications (BS 5839, FIA courses, etc.)
