Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of rugged handheld and portable devices from concept through to full-scale production.
You’ll take ownership of mechanical design, including thermal management, ingress protection (IP‑rated designs), moving mechanisms, electronic enclosures, and full production drawings/BOMs for NPI. This role involves close collaboration with electronics, embedded software, production, and suppliers to deliver high‑quality, robust products built for demanding environments.
What we’re looking for:- 3+ years’ mechanical design of machined parts
- Experience designing outdoor/weather‑sealed products
- Strong knowledge of aluminium, stainless steel & plastics
- Experience with additive manufacturing
- Skilled in Solid Works, Inventor or similar 3D CAD
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
