Our client is a rapidly growing pension fund who invest across global financial markets, real assets, private credit, and private equity. They currently have a requirement for an Automation Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract. The role will report to the Modern Workplace Engineering Manager and will be a hands-on technical specialist role, focusing on delivering and supporting automation across technology and the business.

This role includes technical engineering, operational management, as well as ensuring alignment to businesses processes, standards and best practices. The role will actively champion continuous improvement, particularly automation, to drive process efficiency and reduce manual workload. The role includes working collaboratively with other Technology Services colleagues, including architects, engineers, and delivery teams.

The successful applicant will be technology specialist who is passionate about automation, development, engineering, and striving for improvement across technology operations.

• Strong experience in technical roles, including work within complex enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience automating technical and business processes to drive continuous improvement
• Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate
• Advanced experience with Azure cloud services, including:
  • Azure Logic Apps
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Automation
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure Dev Ops
• Strong Power Shell Scripting skills, with a focus on automation at scale
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops
• Experience designing and integrating with APIs such as Microsoft Graph API
• Familiarity with additional technologies including:
  • Service Now
  • Microsoft 365 suite
  • Entra
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Version control using Git
  • No-code/low-code platforms
