Senior Planner

An established and respected planning consultancy in London is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to contribute to high-profile projects and take on significant responsibility within a dynamic, client-focused environment.

As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planning services across a varied portfolio, including residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments. You will work closely with clients and local authorities, manage applications, shape planning strategy, and support more junior staff.

This role offers excellent exposure to complex planning cases and the chance to influence outcomes on key schemes in the London area and beyond.

• Lead planning applications from instruction to determination
• Prepare high-quality planning statements, appeals and supporting documentation
• Provide strategic planning advice tailored to client needs
• Build strong relationships with clients, statutory consultees and local planning authorities
• Play an active role in business development and client engagement
• Mentor and support junior planners within the team

• Strong experience in planning consultancy or local authority work
• Excellent knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning policy
• Demonstrable experience managing complex planning applications independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Chartered MRTPI status, or clear evidence of progression toward chartership
