Position: Project Engineer (ACMV - Design)
Location: Greater London

The Engineer (Design / Technical) – ACMV is responsible for supporting the design, technical development, and engineering coordination of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems for building projects. This role works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs are technically sound, compliant with specifications, and aligned with project requirements.

The engineer supports projects from design development through construction and commissioning, with a strong focus on technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination across disciplines.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prepare ACMV system designs, calculations, and technical drawings in accordance with project specifications and standards
  • Review consultant and client requirements, drawings, and technical submissions
  • Assist in developing equipment layouts, schematics, ducting and piping drawings
  • Support preparation and submission of technical documents, method statements, and material submissions
  • Coordinate with project, site, and procurement teams to resolve technical issues
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning stages
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and engineering records
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in ACMV design or technical engineering roles
  • Good knowledge of ACMV systems, equipment selection, and industry standards
  • Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings and calculations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and basic engineering software; BIM knowledge is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment
  • Demonstrates good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
