Position: Assistant Project Engineer (ACMV)
Location: Greater London

The Assistant Engineer (ACMV) supports the planning, design coordination, and execution of ACMV projects, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, technical standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

This role works closely with project managers, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and site teams to support ACMV design development and on‑site implementation, with a strong emphasis on technical accuracy, coordination, documentation, and continuous learning.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of ACMV projects from design through to completion
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing ACMV design layouts, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Support load calculations, equipment selection, and basic ACMV design checks under guidance
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors on ACMV design and site matters
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements related to ACMV works
  • Support site activities including installation coordination, inspections, testing, and commissioning
  • Monitor work progress and assist in resolving technical or coordination issues
  • Prepare and maintain ACMV‑related project documentation and reports
  • Participate in project meetings and support follow‑up on action items
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies
  • Support preparation of as‑built drawings and handover documentation
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related fields
  • Relevant experience or exposure in ACMV projects or building services engineering
  • Basic understanding of ACMV systems, equipment, and design principles
  • Ability to read and interpret ACMV drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and documentation tools
  • Good coordination, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical and design capabilities
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork skills
