As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a technically driven Architectural Technologist to join our technical support team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed design, thermal performance analysis, and helping clients achieve optimal results through precision and innovation.
About the RoleThis position offers the opportunity to apply your technical design and building physics expertise in a collaborative, office-based environment. You’ll work closely with the sales, technical, and R&D teams to provide design guidance, detailing support, and thermal performance assessments that ensure successful specification and application of Partel’s systems in construction projects.
Your role will focus on delivering accurate, practical, and compliant technical solutions to architects, engineers, and contractors - helping them integrate our products effectively into their designs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical advice and support to architects, engineers, and specifiers on the correct use of Partel products.
- Review and prepare junction details, condensation risk assessments, and thermal bridge calculations in accordance with relevant standards.
- Support the internal sales and specification team by responding to technical queries and assisting with product selection, detailing, and compliance checks.
- Develop and maintain technical data sheets, CPD content, and case study documentation in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Liaise with the R&D and product development teams to test, validate, and improve system performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in technical documentation and process efficiency.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, building regulations, and innovations in building envelope design and performance.
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Physics, Building Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years’ experience in architectural or technical design, ideally with a focus on the building envelope or energy-efficient construction.
- Strong understanding of thermal bridging, air tightness, vapour control, and building physics principles.
- Familiarity with thermal modelling software such as WUFI is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and methodical approach to design and problem-solving.
- Passion for sustainability, innovation, and advancing best practice in the built environment.
