Data Centre Shift Engineer
Location: London, UK
Job Type: Full-Time
A leading global facilities management provider is seeking experienced Shift Engineers to join its Data Centre Solutions team in London. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in critical environments or those looking to transition into mission‑critical/data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain electrical systems in line with industry standards and codes of practice
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance tasks
Fault finding and rectification across electrical and HVAC systems
Support operation of BMS, UPS, generators, HV systems, fire detection/suppression, lighting controls, AHUs, VAV/FCUs, motors, and associated plant
Carry out installations and modifications to site electrical services
Maintain accurate records via computer-based maintenance systems
Ensure high standards of safety, housekeeping, and communication on shift
Recognised electrical qualification (C&G or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience with in building services or critical environments
Strong fault-finding and technical diagnostic skills
HV Authorised Person and Confined Space training (desirable)
Good communication skills and a proactive, safety‑focused approach
