Data Engineer IR35

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, engineer-led consultancy that specialises in solving hard, high-impact technical problems for large organisations. They’re known for going deep: tackling complex distributed systems, building and operating large-scale cloud platforms, and bridging the gap between infrastructure and software when off-the-shelf solutions don’t cut it.

They’re looking for a Data Engineer with real-world, production experience to join their consulting team. You’ll work closely with client engineering teams on complex data problems — from data modelling and pipelines to streaming, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Strong grounding in computer science fundamentals and data modelling
• Solid experience across the software delivery lifecycle as it applies to data
• Commercial experience with Python (and strong SQL skills)
• Experience with streaming and data processing (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Athena or similar)
• Hands‑on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
