Electrical Estimator

Position: Electrical Estimator (Permanent)
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical, electrical and public health services specialist based in London and the South East of England. This company delivers high-quality electrical and M&E services across commercial fit-outs, refurbishment and complex installations.

Your Role

As Electrical Estimator, you will play a key part in the pre-construction team by preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates for electrical works across a range of projects. You will analyse drawings, specifications and technical documents, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and support tender submissions. Strong communication with internal teams and clear documentation of cost breakdowns will be central to your success.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for electrical scopes across commercial and industrial projects

* Analyse project drawings and specifications to determine materials, labour and plant costs

* Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

* Collaborate with the wider estimating and project teams throughout the tender process

* Assist with tender submissions and post-tender clarifications

* Maintain accurate estimate records and support cost control measures

Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator (ideally within construction, M&E services or related environment)

* Strong understanding of electrical installations and estimating principles

* Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications

* Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills

* Effective communicator with commercial awareness

* Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel)
