Electrical Engineer

Hitachi Rail – Bounds Green Depot, London

£40,000 – £45,000 (dependent on qualifications & experience)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on Hitachi Rail – Bounds Green Depot to conduct work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service, covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, and to provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment. You will be reporting to the site Facilities Manager & Site Supervisor on a day-to-day basis.

• Modifications and installations when required.
• Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant to optimize reliability and maintainability.
• Provide services ensuring key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers.
• Complete required paperwork and produce accurate reports on time.
• Carry out work in accordance with company policies, report deficiencies, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Use PDA to update job tasks in real time; update site log book in compliance with client commitments.

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent training.
• Good knowledge of building statutory compliance.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Responsible for oneself and others, maintaining a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
• Full clean driving licence; use a company vehicle from time to time.
• Experience with PDA usage desired but full training will be given.
