Compensation: £43,260 / year (plus retention bonus up to £60,000 after three years)

We’re looking for engineers to work transiently across the UK, providing gas and electricity metering services. Two roles:
Transient Elite (debt resolution and warrant duties) and Transient Non‑Elite (pure metering). Transient varies 1–3 weeks out of each month.

As a commercial LF‑engineer you will install, exchange, commission and maintain metering systems safely and efficiently. Depending on role:

• Transient Elite: perform debt resolution visits and cover warrant duties.
• Transient Non‑Elite: focus on technical metering work only.

We require:

• High‑quality installation, commissioning, and maintenance of gas and electrical metering systems.
• Professional customer interaction and strong safety compliance.
• Willingness to travel for transient work (1–3 weeks per month).
• Attendance of Warrant Officer duties (for Elite) or no warrant work (for Non‑Elite).
• Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle.
• Commitment to ongoing technical  in Three‑Phase, Medium Pressure, CT Metering, Gas U16–U40.
• Full UK Driving Licence, colour‑blindness test and DBS check.

• Willingness to travel for transient work.
• Comfortable conducting both standard and warrant‑related visits.
• Team player with focus on compliance and continuous learning.
• Accountability for stock, vehicle, and equipment.

• Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
• CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
• Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)

• MET4 – Small Commercial Gas Metering
• Current Transformer (CT)
• Three Phase
• REGT1 – Medium Pressure
