Location:

Salary: up to £43,000 + Zones 1–2 Travelcard + Overtime
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
The Opportunity
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing maintenance providers in London and the South East.
As a Cover Engineer, you'll work across a portfolio of high-end commercial office buildings, stepping in during planned and unplanned absences (e.g. holidays, sickness) of site-based engineers. You'll also assist with quoted works and tenant maintenance projects.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and clear progression into senior roles such as Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering support across multiple commercial office sites
Carry out both electrical and mechanical PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance
Support tenant and project works, ensuring smooth delivery of additional services
Manage and liaise with subcontractors for specialist services
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including:
Fire alarms
Emergency lighting
Water treatment
HVAC systems, including AHUs and FCUs
Complete reports, logbooks, and assist with monthly compliance documentation
Occasionally work out-of-hours or attend call-outs (where applicable)
Salary & Package
Basic Salary: up to £43,000 (depending on experience)
Zones 1–2 Travelcard

What We're Looking For
City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Previous experience in commercial building maintenance
Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
Confident, client-facing, and reliable with strong communication skills
Willing to travel within Zones 1–2 and work semi-static across key sites
