Senior Hydrogeologist

Overview

We are expanding and this is a great time to join us. You will advise on all aspects of hydrogeology and work across the UK and Ireland initially, with potential for growth into international projects. The AECOM Water Environment team works with a portfolio of clients from public and private sectors, across the UK, Ireland and the EMEA region. The groundwater team collaborates with colleagues in surface water, aquatic ecology and hydromorphology to better conceptualise sites.

We are involved in the energy transition through ground source heat schemes, geothermal projects, pump storage hydro schemes, windfarms and re-conductoring projects.

Join our team of 30+ hydro geologists to help us with projects in the UK and overseas which range from groundwater source investigation to dewatering and groundwater flooding; impact assessment of major infrastructure schemes to water management (Water Companies, Energy and Digital Infrastructure Sector); and development of strategies to better manage this precious resource. We pride ourselves on capturing the highest quality data, our conceptualisation of complex systems, and developing cost effective and sustainable solutions.

• You will advise on all aspects of hydrogeology and work across UK and Ireland initially, and potential for growth into international projects
• Provide expert advice on hydrogeological conceptualisation
• Assist with delivery of both water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects
• Prepare bids internally and externally to support growth
• Work with a team of consultants/graduate hydro geologists in other offices
• Develop new innovations around data and interacting with our groundwater modellers
• We work on large scale infrastructure projects, including all stages of consenting from Optioneering, Environmental Statements, through to Delivery Consents
• We have clients requiring new groundwater resources and refurbishment of existing sources, to ensure their supplies (Water Companies, and Food and Beverage Sector)
• We support mining colleagues with their water management issues on active and legacy sites, as well as helping moves to sustainable practices
