About the role

An opportunity has arisen within the Council's Street Lighting Design Team for the post of Engineer, based at Bankhead Depot. The post is a key position within the Roads and Infrastructure function of Operational Services, supporting the effective delivery of the Council's street lighting service. The Engineer will initiate, develop and manage street lighting maintenance and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Initiate, develop and manage street lighting maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations, including senior colleagues across the Council, elected members, external contractors, public utility companies and the general public.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on budget and to challenging deadlines.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. Happy to talk flexible working.
