Senior Transport Planner

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans and Site Access Appraisals.
  • Apply your understanding of local and national transport policy and guidance to inform project delivery.
  • Use Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY) for technical assessments.
  • Design traffic signals using Lin Sig.
  • Develop preliminary designs for access, junction improvements and highways schemes in AutoCAD.
  • Produce clear and engaging visual outputs using GIS software and/or Corel Draw.
  • Take an active role in project management and client communication to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Senior Transport Planner or Transport Planner ready to progress.
  • Proven experience in development transport planning.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work proactively on multiple projects.
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of a professional body such as CIHT or ICE.
