Highways Inspector

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join their team on a short-term contract. This role is critical in ensuring statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals.
Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street works to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.

Job Requirements:

Experience in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running.
Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
Proficiency in using Confirm software.
Proactive, independent decision-maker who requires minimal training.

Contract Details:

Contract Type: 3-Month Secondment
Working Pattern:
Shift-based (07:00 - 15:30 and 09:30 - 18:00)
