Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established, employee-focused civil and structural engineering consultancy delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors.
The role would suit an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in drainage, infrastructure and external works design, looking to take on greater technical responsibility within a collaborative consultancy environment.
You will play a key role in the delivery of civil and infrastructure engineering designs, from early concept through to detailed design and construction support. The position has a strong emphasis on drainage and SuDS design, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the design and development of advanced drainage systems, including foul, surface water and SuDS solutions
· Produce detailed design drawings, technical specifications and engineering reports
· Undertake drainage modelling and design using Micro Drainage / Info Drainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
· Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and best practice
· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects and external consultants
· Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers where required
· Support planning submissions and technical approvals with local authorities
About You
· Proven experience in civil / infrastructure and drainage design engineering
· Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree advantageous)
· Proficient in Micro Drainage / Info Drainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
· Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) is desirable
