The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a sector‑leading team, providing commercially focused environmental and sustainability due diligence advice to a diverse range of clients supporting real estate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions across the UK and Europe.
You will work closely with the team to deliver a range of fast‑paced technical projects relating to ground risk, flood risk, environmental compliance, and sustainability.
We are looking for an experienced environmental consultant with a broad skill set specialising in ground risk and environmental compliance. Some experience in sustainability is preferred. The successful applicant will be a strong project manager, client‑focused, commercially aware.
How You'll Contribute- Manage and deliver multiple time‑critical due diligence projects simultaneously, including multi‑site portfolios within the UK and Europe.
- Provide technical advice in the areas of ground risk and environmental compliance, with some understanding of sustainability.
- Support junior consultants with coaching, quality assurance, and technical review.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as a key contact for day‑to‑day project liaison.
- Contribute to business development activities including the preparation of fee proposals and tenders.
- Support financial management of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing.
- Oversee and coordinate suppliers and third‑party specialists.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices, bringing innovative and pragmatic ideas.
- Demonstrate the behaviours, vision, and values of the business at all times.
- Degree in a relevant subject (and preferably a secondary degree such as MSc, or a related qualification).
- Membership of a relevant professional body; working towards or achieved Chartered status preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of ground risk and environmental compliance; a working understanding of sustainability issues is desirable.
- Proven experience in managing multiple environmental due diligence projects.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
