Business Development Engineer – Power Transmission

Location: North of London (covering London, Southeast & East Anglia)
Salary: £40,000 + 1% Bonus on Sales in the stated area Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Engineer to join our clients' team and drive growth within the Power Transmission sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with a strong technical background and a passion for sales, customer engagement, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Growth: Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions.
  • Technical Sales: Use technical expertise to advise customers on product applications and system designs.
  • Market Analysis: Research industry trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Proposal & Contract Management: Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimise solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering
    , Power Transmission
    , or related technical field.
  • Proven experience in business development and technical sales
    .
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of gear systems, motors, drives, and industrial transmission technologies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting.
  • Willingness to travel across London, Southeast & East Anglia.
