Piping, Valves & Static Equipment Engineer

Airswift is currently recruiting on behalf of a global energy company a Senior Piping, Valves & Static Equipment Engineer who will work in London on a complex LNG project in Oceania.

Missions / Service Dimensions
  • Supervising and coordinating the PVV engineering related activities performed by FEED Contractors and EPSCCs Contractor for the CPF & Wellpads Package and Pipeline packages with particular focus on Static Mechanical Equipment (i.e. Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Thermal equipment, storage tanks)
  • Assisting the discipline Lead engineer in his/her activities
  • Providing support and technical expertise and contribution with regards to the discipline
  • Timely review and comment engineering documents and consolidate comments related to Static equipment and Piping deliverables; liaise with other engineering specialist(s), and entity (Operations,…)
  • Ensuring that the engineering activities are performed in compliance with applicable Laws and Regulations, Company HSE rules & standards and Project requirements
  • Providing support to challenge the FEED Contractors and to promote alternative design to optimize cost, footprint, work and schedule
  • (PNGS calling Australian/new‑Zealand standards apply), Contextualized General Specifications with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project highly sensitive environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost;
  • Participate to the 3D model activities and to the 3D model reviews and ensuring proper implementation of the findings; involve in the Digital Twin set‑up process
  • 3D Model:
    Ensuring operability, safety and maintainability of the Plant ensuring adequate and timely reporting to the discipline Lead engineer
  • Liaise with the Project Data Manager to ensure proper digitalization of the technical data of the Project;
  • Support preparation and participate in Project Reviews, provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in his/her discipline;
  • Assist the discipline Lead engineer to prepare the derogation requests to GS EP PVV, to respond to engineering clarifications, request for deviations and technical issues with regards to Static Mechanical Equipment discipline by a proactive and proficient approach
  • Perform studies leading to technical decision making and propose recommendation to the discipline Lead engineer
  • Participate to the preparation of the documents for purchase, the bid evaluation and inspection
Accountabilities
  • Supervise the Piping, Valves and Static equipment engineering related activities performed by EPSCCs Contractor (mainly for the CPF‑Wellpads Package and Pipelines Packages) with focus on the successful and timely project execution
  • Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the discipline Lead engineer, highlighting critical issues and proposing remedial actions.
  • The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE rules & requirements and for ensuring that HSSE requirements are duly implemented within his area of responsibility
  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and to promote and enforce the Corporate Anti‑Corruption Program within the project team
Context & Environment

The Papua LNG Project is a key project for Company as it is its first major petroleum investment in Papua New Guinea.

  • Well pads and the upstream gathering network including flowlines and two parallel multiphase trunklines
  • Upstream Central Processing Facility (CPF), approximately 30 kms from the field
  • Main onshore and offshore export system consisting of a single‑phase gas pipeline and a condensate pipeline
  • Integration in existing liquefaction plant located 325 km from the CPF in the vicinity of Port‑Moresby

Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Professional Experience (years): 15+ years in Oil and Gas projects
  • Experience in similar position (years): 10+ years at same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities
  • Level / Diploma:
    Engineer, or equivalent
  • Languages:

    English mandatory, French is a plus
  • Technical Knowledge: familiar with 3D CAD modelling softwares and tools (ex PDMs, Naviworks), familiar with software Compress or PV Elite
  • Knowledge of Australian standards is a plus
