Content, Technology & Innovation (CT&I) is part of Comcast and Sky’s Global Product Hub, responsible for delivering Sky content and services to customers everywhere via reliable, scalable, and innovative platforms. This role will own the strategic vision and execution of CBP’s engineering function—ensuring that Sky builds and operates software and broadcast systems with technical excellence, reliability, and agility.

Reporting to the Group Director of Content, Broadcast and Platforms, this is a pivotal leadership role that unifies broadcast engineering under a single structure, eliminating duplication, streamlining decision‑making, and driving consistency in engineering practices across territories. You will lead a team of 150+ engineers across the UK, DACH, and Italy, within a wider engineering organisation of 550+, and be accountable for all engineering delivery across Sky Sports, Sky News, Sky Creative, Sky Studios, Global Product, and our broader content ecosystem—including live production, media management, and video‑on‑demand (VOD).

By embedding modern engineering practices, Dev Ops adoption, and continuous improvement into the organisation, you will transform engineering into a strategic enabler of innovation and operational excellence—positioning Sky to lead in a rapidly evolving media and technology landscape.

You will own the engineering and integration of technology solutions across CBP, ensuring that products are built, tested, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and performance. You will define how we build things right—driving the adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and robust delivery pipelines that are scalable, secure, and future‑ready.

This role will have a transformative impact on how engineering operates across the Group. By consolidating fragmented ownership and aligning software and broadcast disciplines, you will foster consistency, improve efficiency, and create a culture of accountability and technical excellence. You will act as a central point of alignment between engineering and broader business objectives, ensuring that technology decisions support long‑term growth and innovation while meeting immediate delivery needs.

You will work closely with Architecture, Strategy & Delivery, and S/W & Platform teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering кетас solutions and alignment with strategic priorities. At the same time, you will create space for experimentation and the adoption of emerging technologies—embedding innovation into the engineering culture without compromising delivery excellence.
