The Role
You will play a pivotal role in coordinating CSA design activities, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver optimal building solutions that meet client expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the design development of all CSA packages, ensuring compliance with project specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards
* Review and evaluate design solutions for buildability, practicality, innovation, and cost-effectiveness
* Manage CSA design packages from initial review through estimation, procurement, planning, and site execution
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project objectives are achieved
* Support the Design Manager and collaborate with CSA and MEP teams to deliver integrated, coordinated solutions
* Monitor design progress, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme and deliverables
* Provide technical input across all project phases, including value engineering, constructability reviews, and alternative design assessments
* Ensure the production of high-quality technical documentation, drawings, and reports
* Lead and participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site inspections
* Champion health, safety, environmental compliance, and best practice at all times
About You
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience delivering CSA design and construction on large-scale, complex building projects
* Previous experience within data centres or mission-critical environments is highly desirable
* Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or related discipline)
* Chartered status (ICE, IStruct
E, RIAI, or similar) is highly advantageous
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, codes, and statutory requirements
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM/design tools
* Proven ability to manage multiple CSA design packages through all project phases
* Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and reporting
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
