Full Time, Permanent

Weekly rotating shift pattern – 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 6pm Friday. Training hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Solidus Solutions seeks a Multi Skilled Engineer for Skipton, occasionally travelling to UK sites (Corby) for breakdowns, projects or performance issues. Full time, permanent.

• Act with integrity and professionalism towards suppliers, customers and colleagues.
• Support business processes and promote equality, diversity and Health & Safety environments.
• Maintain daily efficient running of the site through engineering maintenance, repair and installation duties.
• Proactively manage maintenance schedules and respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns in compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations and BRC Certification.
• Assist in installation and project work, plant-wide lubrication schedules and plant condition monitoring.
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence, daily safety checks, safety equipment usage and plant cleanliness.
• Minimise production downtime, prioritise works, monitor minor maintenance and order spares.
• Maintain budget sheets, achieve departmental objectives, attend briefings and meetings, and establish effective teamwork.

Ideally the successful person will have achieved the following qualifications/experience.

• Apprentice trained with an electrical bias preferred.
• Minimum of City and Guilds Level 3 in one of the disciplines; 18th Edition certified preferable.
• Ideally 5+ years experience in a similar industry.
• Desirable: PLC interrogation and diagnostic skills;
  Robot programming and diagnostic knowledge;
  Working knowledge of printing, die cutting and gluing machinery for the packaging industry.
