Alfred Recruitment LLP is working with an award‑winning façade engineering consultancy that has over 20 years of experience and an exceptional reputation for quality and expertise. They are expanding their portfolio and are looking for a Façade Engineer to join their team and work on high‑profile projects.
Role suitability:
This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of façade engineering experience who will receive strong support from experienced mentors and significant career development opportunities.
- Completing engineering analysis and structural engineering calculations across a wide range of façade system and elements
- Working with external structural engineering consultants to ensure accuracy
- Creating programs and spreadsheets for automated calculation
- Carrying out calculations using TEDDS for various systems
- Carrying out site visits when necessary
- Keeping track of the latest façade structural and product information regarding systems used within the façade industry
- Assisting directors, associates, and senior staff with other tasks as required
- At least 3 years’ experience in a façade engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree qualified and ideally working towards Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (not essential)
- Good practical and technical structural engineering knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of façade materials, products, manufacturing methods, and construction methods
