Civil Design Engineer - London
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Graduate Civil Design Engineer with 1-2 years of industry experience based in London. This opportunity offers excellent training and a clear path towards chartership through an ICE-approved training agreement.
The RoleAs a Civil Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with senior engineers and experienced technicians on a range of infrastructure design projects, including roads and SUDS drainage systems. You’ll be supported by a structured training programme leading to chartership.
Key Responsibilities- Design of infrastructure for residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including roads and SUDS drainage systems
- Liaison with key authorities such as Southern Water, the Environment Agency, and local highways departments
- Attend and contribute to site visits, design team meetings, and inspections
- Produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
- Deliver work to agreed budgets and deadlines
- Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
- 1-2 years’ experience in a UK-based civil engineering consultancy
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or Micro Drainage is advantageous but not essential
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
