Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the RoleA leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its established civil engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of infrastructure projects, supporting delivery from early concept and master planning through to detailed design and construction stages.
The position suits an experienced engineer who enjoys hands on technical delivery, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to high quality, coordinated infrastructure solutions across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage, utilities and earthworks
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, calculations and specifications
- Support master planning and infrastructure strategies for complex developments
- Coordinate infrastructure designs with multidisciplinary project teams
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and best practice
- Contribute to project programming, resourcing and delivery to agreed budgets
- Support client engagement and assist with bid preparation where required
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure design projects within a consultancy environment
- Strong background in drainage, highways, utilities and earthworks
- Experience supporting master planning and early stage design
- Proficiency in CAD and civil design software
- Chartered or actively working towards chartership with a relevant institution
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple work streams
