An established and highly regarded property and built environment consultancy is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding MEP Engineering team in Central London.

This is a newly created role offering a strong balance of mechanical design (approx. 30%) and surveying, CAPEX planning and advisory work (approx. 70%), ideal for engineers seeking variety and long-term progression.

• Mechanical design covering HVAC and heating systems
• Retrofit and decarbonisation projects (heat pumps, HIUs, EPC improvements)
• Plantroom and asset surveys to inform CAPEX and lifecycle strategies
• Producing technical reports and costed project estimates
• Supporting PPM strategies and long-term asset performance
• Involvement in mixed-use redevelopment and asset optimisation schemes

You’ll work closely with senior engineers and directors, with structured onboarding and increasing responsibility over time.

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent)
• Experience with in building services consultancy or advisory environments
• Strong HVAC and heating systems knowledge
• Retrofit or energy‑efficiency experience advantageous
• Able to balance site surveys with office‑based design and reporting
