Assistant Quantity Surveyor & Employer's Agent
Full time/permanent position in London operating a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in quantity surveying duties including pre and post contract, cost reporting, cost planning, tender preparation, on-site valuations, interim payment applications etc.
- Assisting in employer’s agent duties pre and post contract administration, including instructions, chairing meetings, co‑ordination.
- Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders ensuring accurate information for successful implementation and completion of projects.
- Integrate and work effectively as part of a team for the delivery of projects.
- Develop knowledge and skills through regular CPD and maintain up‑to‑date awareness of legislation affecting quantity surveying and employer’s agent duties.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- A relevant university degree or equivalent.
- A reasonable number of years experience in a trainee/assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
- Experience working as a trainee/assistant employers agent (desirable).
- Experience working on residential properties is essential.
- Desirable knowledge of working with local authorities and/or housing associations/developers.
- Desirable knowledge on fire remediation/education/leisure.
- Working towards MRIC/MCIOB membership.
