Technical Product Lead

Fuse Energy is a forward‑thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy – fast. We’re creating a fully integrated energy company: from developing solar, wind and hydrogen projects to real‑time power trading and distributed energy installations. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass on savings to customers.

But we’re not stopping there. We’re also building the Energy Network: a decentralised platform of smart devices that rewards users in Energy Dollars for electrifying their homes, shifting usage to off‑peak hours, and helping balance the grid. This network strengthens grid stability – a critical foundation for scaling AI data centres and other energy‑intensive industries.

We’re looking for exceptional, technical problem solvers to join us as we continue to scale. This is a uniquely hybrid role that sits at the intersection of software, systems engineering, strategy and operations. This is not a back‑office ops role. You’ll be building real‑world infrastructure, pricing new energy products, integrating trading systems and scaling our platform across markets.

• Design, prototype, and scale new energy products, from idea to delivery, using tools like Python and SQL
• Model physical and financial energy systems: optimise capacity and build business logic for everything from trading to tariffs
• Work closely with engineers and operators to build and launch real‑world systems across our energy stack – solar, storage, EVs, hydrogen and beyond
• Deep dive into markets and regulations to break into new geographies – scoping feasibility, operational constraints and cost models
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of critical projects: from writing Python scripts to running simulations, negotiating with suppliers and iterating based on real‑world feedback

• You’re technical – a strong background in engineering, physics, maths or similar from a top university
• You’re a builder – excited by ambiguity, obsessed with progress and happiest when getting stuck into a hard problem
• You get systems – and can reason across hardware, software, regulation and operations
• You’re entrepreneurial – with strong product intuition and a high sense of ownership
