About the role:As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering building management systems from pre‑commissioning through to final handover. Working across multiple projects, you'll commission BMS panels, software, graphics, and associated M&E plant in line with approved specifications and drawings. You'll work closely with project managers, design teams, and fellow engineers to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Commission BMS control panels, peripherals, and third‑party equipment on site.
- Conduct off‑site panel inspections and BMS software/graphics tests.
- Load, test, and verify software and graphics to ensure functionality aligns with contract documentation.
- Attend commissioning meetings and witness testing on site.
- Maintain accurate commissioning records, daily work logs, and as‑built documentationli>
- Support project managers in identifying additional works and ensuring commercial recovery.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Technical qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering to ONC/HNC standard or above.
- Sound knowledge of BMS systems including Schneider, Trend, Distech, and Tridium/Delta.
- Familiarity with industry standards (BS7671, CIBSE, BSRIA guides).
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
- CSCS card holder and full UK driving licence.
- Proactive, diligent, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
