Safety and Airworthiness Engineer

Working within an innovative manufacturing environment, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of a range of well-engineered parts and components.

Site-based, Monday to Friday (days), 37.5 hours. Thursday 8:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:30.

25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), company pension scheme, and life insurance.

• Ensuring products and systems meet safety and airworthiness regulations throughout their lifecycle.
• Developing safety cases, conducts hazard identification, and performs safety analysis such as FMEA and FTA.
• Preparing and managing documentation for certification, including compliance with MAA Regulatory Articles and other industry standards.
• Working closely with design teams to integrate safety requirements into system architecture and project deliverables.
• Maintaining safety records, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of the Safety Management System.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a strong understanding of safety engineering principles and airworthiness regulations, experience with hazard analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, FTA) and safety case development. It would also be advantageous to be familiar with MAA Regulatory Articles and relevant international standards.
