Job Title: Senior Fire Engineer - IEng HRB or CEng (HRB), SOCOTEC

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Building and Real Estate Division. SOCOTEC's Fire Engineering and Safety teams provide an award-winning, flexible and forward-thinking approach, as well as a high level of technical capability, providing our clients with cost-effective and practical solutions for the full range of fire safety problems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate Building Safety Case development, ensuring robust assessments and compliance with the Building Safety Act
  • Prepare Fire Appraisal Reports and Fire HAZID assessments to support Safety Case Reports
  • Review fire safety strategies and associated mark‑ups for HRB buildings
  • Provide technical advisory input and undertake site inspections during design, construction and remediation stages
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering with a postgraduate Fire Engineering qualification
  • Working towards or achieved Incorporated HRB registration with the Engineering Council and full membership with the IFE
  • At least four years' experience in Fire Safety Engineering
  • Strong technical competence in fire dynamics, evacuation, structural fire behaviour and passive/active systems
  • In‑depth knowledge of statutory guidance (ADB, BS 9991, BS 9999, HTMs, BB100, BS 7974 series) and HRB legislation
