Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer role at Mott Mac Donald. The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks.

We provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle. Mott Mac Donald is an employee-owned business focused on delivering energy transition globally.

• Carry out detailed surveys of electrical services and equipment to establish the status of existing installations and gather information to propose new or upgraded designs.
• Produce and review design documents including basis of designs, technical specifications, procurement specifications, condition assessment reports and survey reports covering all aspects of electrical services.
• Produce and review electrical design drawings and calculations.
• Provide estimates of work elements including equipment and manhour costs.
• Advise on energy consumption and utilization, identify schemes and recommendations to improve energy performance.
• Ensure compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, current legislation and standards for all engineering aspects of delegated projects.
• Attend engineering meetings liaising with other groups and clients as necessary.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional registration as a chartered engineer (CEng).
• Up to date knowledge of current legislation and standards in building/infrastructure design environments.
• Experience using Hevacomp, Dialux, Relux, Amtech Power, AutoCAD and IES.
• Initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions.
• Excellent communication skills.
