As our Beverageologist / Scientist, youâll be at the forefront of product innovation - formulating, testing, and scaling our RTD beverages and powdered blends. From developing recipes and running sensory panels to supporting industrialâscale trials with our manufacturing partners, youâll ensure every sip of Perfect Ted is consistently worldâclass.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine formulations for RTD beverages and powdered blends, ensuring consistency, quality, and sensory excellence.
- Design and run experiments to troubleshoot and optimise formulations and processes across lab, pilot, and industrial scales.
- Support trials with manufacturing partners, ensuring product feasibility, stability, and integrity at every stage.
- Translate labâscale successes into scalable, commercially viable solutions.
- Lead and participate in sensory evaluations, including descriptive analysis, to guide and refine product development.
- Ensure consumer insights and technical excellence inform final product decisions.
- Partner with operations, marketing, and commercial teams to align technical progress with business and consumer goals.
- Communicate findings clearly across departments and to leadership.
Must-Haves:
â Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
â 2â3 yearsâ experience in beverage product development
â Strong handsâon expertise in formulation, sensory methodologies, and product optimisation â Excellent communication skills and ability to work crossâfunctionally
â Passion for innovation, problemâsolving, and continuous learning
â Must have full right to work in the UK
NiceâtoâHaves (but not necessary):
- Sensory training or panel experience
- Experience working with FMCG/startâup brands
- Knowledge of functional ingredients or healthâfocused beverages
- Curious, creative, and scientifically rigorous
- Obsessed with getting the details right while keeping the bigger picture in mind
- Calm and solutionâoriented when faced with challenges
- Excited to push boundaries in food & drink innovation
