Associate Director - Building Structures

WSP invites an experienced Associate Director to lead the delivery of a portfolio of structural engineering schemes ranging from high‑rise towers and stadiums to regenerative health and data centre projects.

• Provide technical leadership from concept through detailed design and to client handover on medium to large multi‑disciplinary schemes.
• Co‑ordinate with architects, engineers and specialist consultants to resolve design, constructability and cost issues.
• Negotiate tender bids, agree project fees, and manage the project commercial position.
• Exercise independent judgement, mentor junior team members, and support Chartership progression.
• Maintain sustainable, net‑zero carbon, MMC & DfMA design solutions through all project stages.

• Chartered in Structural or related discipline (MIStruct
  
  E/MICE).
• Degree or HNC/HND in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including major scheme design and project initiation.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with national codes, structural calculation packages (ETABS, RAM, Tekla) and Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper.
