A vacancy exists for an Associate Director Structural Engineer to join this premier structural consultancy in Central London. The role involves managing and delivering projects alongside experienced directors who will act as your professional mentor. The work involves varied and challenging building structures projects, both in the UK and overseas ranging in value from £50m and £400m. The Associate Director Structural Engineer role requires a hands-on approach and the application of professional engineering knowledge and skills to steer the direction of projects.

• Manage and deliver varied building structures projects in the UK and overseas, typically valued between £50m and £400m.
• Take a hands-on approach to apply professional engineering knowledge to steer project direction.
• Engage in team management, business development and winning work.
• Prepare feasibility studies, concept and scheme design reports, and design calculations (working knowledge of Eurocodes is desirable).
• Prepare contract documents and specifications; supervise staff.
• Undertake project management tasks for certain projects and liaise with clients.
• Report to the Building Structures Director and manage graduates/junior staff.

• Experience of working in a similar high-calibre UK structures design consultancy is essential, typically with at least 10 years of practical design experience.
• Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
• Qualities: self-motivated and enthusiastic; capable of operating with minimal supervision; leadership skills; seeking increasing level of responsibility; client-facing skills and ability to build client relationships.
