Maintenance Engineer – Rugby, Leicester
OverviewWe are seeking a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a well‑established manufacturing company. The role is autonomous, days‑based (Monday to Friday) and will involve mechanical and electrical maintenance, project work and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be the sole engineer on site, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities- Co‑ordinate and carry out all on‑site maintenance activities, including pre‑planned, reactive, facilities, fabrics and project work.
- Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
- Coordinate external contractors for specialist works.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Experience working in a plastics or injection moulding setting is an advantage.
- Capability to work independently as the sole on‑site engineer.
