Project Structural Engineer – Existing building focus

Permanent | London | £45,000 – £55,000 + Annual Bonus

This architecturally driven, independently owned design studio is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join their team. They offer a generous package, with flexible working, fully supported career development and the opportunity to work on, develop and lead outstanding building structures projects in London alongside the Director.

• Act as the lead consultant on projects, providing C&S representation and input at key stages to other members of the project team and ensuring that the C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and specifically your team.
• Prepare analysis calculations for all elements within structures, manage the preparation of such calculations and develop them yourself on occasion.
• Break down complex structures into individual components for element design and communicate this effectively to colleagues.
• Represent the company at both internal and external meetings.

• Desire to build on existing experience and knowledge of structural engineering design on existing structures and mentor junior staff.
• Real passion for architecture and excellent project delivery.
• Interest in heritage and conservation projects (great interest).
• Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company confidently.
