We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team on a commercial contract. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.
About the Role:As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs
- Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department
- Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
- Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment
- Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
- Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
- Performing ad-hoc duties as needed
- Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition
- Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
- Good multi-skilled ability
- Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements
- Ability to understand and write permits
