Electrical Project Engineer

Primary site‑based role based in London, with occasional travel outside London. The successful candidate will act as lead electrical project engineer for a portfolio of heat network projects across the UK, working closely with the Project Lead Engineer and the supply chain.

• Concept design, detailed design and delivery of electrical engineering for heat network projects of varying scales, focusing on the London area.
• Engage with the supply chain during both initial procurement and delivery phases to ensure optimal product selection and timely delivery.
• Lead electrical projects, working directly under the Project Lead Engineer.
• Review, analyse and report on project performance.
• Desire to experience the full project engineering lifecycle, from early concept design through to construction, commissioning and operation.
• Willingness to engage and collaborate with a wide range of multi‑disciplinary counter parties.

• Level 8 / Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within the energy sector.
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to take on novel challenges.
• Good understanding of LV power systems for industrial, commercial and multi‑residential facilities, including transformers, main distribution boards, sub‑distribution boards, cabling and containment systems, PFC units and UPS systems.
• Capability (and ideally experience) in cable sizing calculation software, e.g. Amtech.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word.
• Some experience preferable in use of computer drawing software, e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks.
