On offer is a unique Design Engineer position, joining a rapidly expanding energy team at the heart of their heat network strategy. You'll play a key technical role across design reviews, site inspections and commissioning of district heating and energy centre assets - with a clear progression pathway into Senior Design Engineer roles and opportunities to mentor junior engineers in future.

You'll help solve technical challenges, improve system performance and support the seamless handover of new schemes into operation.

The Role
  • Review and check mechanical / building services designs, drawings, schematics and technical submissions for district heating and energy centre projects
  • Carry out site inspections, acceptance tests and commissioning checks to ensure installations meet design, safety and compliance standards
  • Take ownership of technical decisions, offering guidance that shapes the quality and long-term performance of heat networks
  • Support project handover and adoption, providing technical input to O&M teams and maintaining accurate technical records
  • Hybrid working : approx. 2 days on site / office, 3 days from home, 35 hours / week
The Person
  • Background in Mechanical, Building Services or District Heating engineering
  • Experience in design review, installation or commissioning of heating systems
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical services
  • Motivated by progression, ongoing learning and stepping into broader technical responsibility as the team expands
