  • Develop and implement site-specific energy optimisation strategies that reduce operational carbon and improve building performance.
  • Ensure compliance with current and future green building certifications and sustainability frameworks.
  • Develop and implement metering strategies and reporting schedules in line with the service charge to enable accurate reflection and billing of all energy consumption around the estates.
  • Collaborate closely with WPM UKI / JLL teams, contractors, consultants, and occupiers to deliver energy and sustainability goals.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor on building performance, lifecycle asset planning, and infrastructure optimisation.
  • Support sustainability-related reporting, initiatives, and audits for both client and internal stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on building performance using CAFM, BMS, EMS, and metering platforms, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Lead or support re-certification processes for BREEAM In-Use and NABERS UK as required.
  • Prepare buildings for future compliance with the UK Net Zero Carbon Standard, due late 2025.
  • Oversee delivery of technical energy and sustainability projects (e.g. plant upgrades, HVAC improvements, decarbonization pathways).
  • Engage with occupiers and service partners to promote best practices in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
  • Review building usage and occupancy to ensure BMS and plant are optimised in line with actual requirements and demonstrate reduction in consumption and emissions.
  • Support capital planning and lifecycle analysis to ensure long‑term asset performance and cost‑effective operation.
  • Identify and implement digital tools and platforms to enhance energy management and operational insights.
