Engineering Manager

Overview

Foundations API is central to New Day’s technology platform and supports services used by millions of customers. We are seeking an Engineering Manager who thrives in complex settings. This person will collaborate closely with Product and guide teams to deliver significant platform improvements through solid engineering methods.

• Experience managing several engineering teams within a complex technical setting
• Strong delivery leadership, with a focus on outcomes over activity
• Confidence working as an equal partner with Product
• Broad technical understanding of modern (agile) software development and (microservices) architecture
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and secure software delivery
• Ability to communicate technical risks and options clearly to a wide range of collaborators
• A thoughtful, people‑centred approach to leadership, mentoring, feedback, and performance management

• Experience working on platform or shared‑service teams
• Experience in regulated, PCI or high‑scale environments
• Familiarity with cloud‑based architectures, ideally Azure (or at least a desire to learn)
• Experience leading teams through significant technical and organizational change
