Hardware Engineer

Carv – Greater London, England, United Kingdom

About the Company

Carv is on a mission to unlock the enjoyment of better skiing. We use AI, real‑time feedback, and sensor‑driven data to help skiers measure technique and coach them to improve. Our team is building industry‑pioneering hardware and software that bridges the gap between technology and human performance.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Hardware Engineer to drive development of our sensor hardware from research and development through to mass production. If you love building products that push the limits of what’s possible with real‑time experiences on constrained devices, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and integrate new sensors or embedded technology into our core product.
  • Improve the product by building and testing prototypes with new technologies.
  • Supervise and optimise areas of the manufacturing process related to embedded systems, for example automatic testing equipment or production firmware.
  • Collaborate within the Hardware and Product teams to integrate electronics and firmware with the mechanical and software parts of the product.
  • Work with the Customer Success team in identifying and debugging electronics and firmware related product issues.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 4 years of experience in electronics or embedded systems.
  • Proactive and results‑oriented.
  • Experience designing and prototyping electronics products from concept through to schematic design, layout and manufacturing.
  • Experience developing and deploying firmware for embedded systems, with experience in Nordic nRF series microcontrollers a major advantage.
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Experience debugging embedded systems and use of associated tools.
Why Join Carv?
  • Work on a game‑changing product that combines AI, biomechanics, and coaching.
  • Autonomy and impact—you’ll be a key player in shaping the future of digital sports training.
  • Opportunity to work from our Innsbruck office where you can ski with fully subsidised ski tickets.

Carv is committed to diversity and inclusivity.
